The UCL Christmas Ball
Balls are a big thing at British universities. Rumour has it that Oxbridge throw the best ones, but the UCL Economics and Finance Society (EFS) is giving Oxford and Cambridge a run for their money. I might be a tiny bit biased, as I am on the committee of said society, but the annual EFS Christmas Ball is an event which has no equal (at least not in London). This year it took place on December 12 and tickets sold out in 1 minute. Even Beyonce’s London gig didn’t sell out that quickly.
To quote the UCL Snowsports Society who tried to get tickets for its whole committee:
Forget UCLU’s summer ball, the uber rich, mega soc that is UCL EFS (Economics and Finance) Christmas Ball is an event not to be missed. (…) Tickets don’t come cheap, or easy for that matter. Its a bit like getting tickets for Glastonbury 2017, but harder and way more stressful.
The hype around the ball might be more exciting than the actual event, but if you ever end up at UCL, the EFS Christmas Ball is a must.
