Work Hard Play Hard - The Life of a Student at McGill University
Located in the undisputed party capital of Canada and being known to organize some of the wildest student parties in the country, one can be justified when they call McGill University a “party school.”
Although McGill has it’s enjoyable side, when it comes to academics it can be ruthless! A study found, McGill to be one of the most sleep deprived universities in North America, I too being a student at this university have experienced times, where I have gotten about 7 hours of sleep in 3 days!
If I was told to describe a McGillian’s college life in a couple of words, my answer would be “work hard, play hard.”
If I was told to describe a McGillian’s college life in a couple of words, my answer would be “work hard, play hard.” When it is time to party, we party, when it is time to study, we study. There are numerous events at McGill happening all year round, some such as Hype Week and Winter Carnival which REQUIRE you to drink and party everyday for an entire week! However at the same time the studies at McGill are intellectually challenging, and test ones physical and mental capacity. Thus it is this amazing balance a student has of having a good time and being studious that makes McGill an ideal destination to pursue higher education.
