From the University of Leeds to Riviera Maya, Mexico: Save the Loan, See the World!

Many of you going to university this year will be thinking how awesome it will finally be to have free money for pints, pitchers and pornstar martinis - this will often be the bitter sweet end to where all your money goes when in semester two you finally realise you're skint and haven't got enough money to afford even the Sainsbury's basic bread.

Some of you, if you're like me, may think differently; now, I'm by no means saying I was boring and stayed in all the time, my photos on Facebook at F*ck Me it's Freshers, Mission Opening Party and Pryzm on a Thursday can back me up on that! But I probably didn't go out nowhere near as much as some of my fellow students - I had a job, far too much reading and chose not to go out to save my money ... but boy am I glad I did. This summer I've been to London twice, Clumber Park Food & Drink Festival and the beautiful Riviera Maya in sunny Mexico for 3 weeks (to name a few)!

ANDDDD, I did it properly; enjoying all inclusive luxury for the entire time I was there gave me the chance to try a multiplicity of different cuisines that I'd never eaten before. It was one of the best experiences of my life! I even explored further into Mexico by going to XPLOR by XCARET (google it and see how amazing it looks) and the ancient Mayan Tulum Ruins to see some proper Mexican culture.

The reason I've wrote this article is to make you all think about those one in a life time experiences YOU want - because if you're smart with your student loans and don't be lazy bums and get a job they are more than possible my friends. I think you should at least try to see the world when it's as gorgeous as it is, because when you're old and gray you'll be glad that you did. Think about it. X
