Sprawling across the beautiful Greenwich Village in lower western Manhattan, NYU offers a comprehensive academic base and the best of New York City life at your fingertips. It was founded to support the rapid development of the city in the 1830s, with an accessible institution for “rational and practical education”. Today NYU offers a very wide range of subjects, both through the College of Arts & Science, but also through specialised departments including the notable Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Steinhardt School, and Tisch School of the Arts. Additionally, the “Gallatin School” offers a unique programme allowing students to draw from all of NYU’s resources in a self-designed degree.
