Babson is the leading school with a defined focus on entrepreneurship in the USA and has a long-standing reputation. This means that the school offers only one undergraduate degree -a bachelor’s of science in business administration. Students can, however, choose to declare concentrations in various fields such as Accounting, Finance, and Real Estate. Every entrepreneurship course at the school is taught by a professor who has started, sold, bought or run a successful business.
During their freshman year, every student at Babson is required to start and run their own startup with a budget constraint of $3000 as part of the course “Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship”.
Located in Wellesley outside Boston, the school offers students opportunity to take classes from the nearby and well-regarded Wellesley liberal arts college. The teachings at Babson seem to have paid off for some – among its living alumni are 5 billionaires and numerous multi-millionaires.
