Emory University is renowned for its undergraduate education, professional graduate schools and for its association with one of the leading healthcare systems in America’s southeast. It was founded in 1836, and has since transformed into its prominent role both in American academia and the Atlanta community. The undergraduate education is very demanding and of particular prominence, but Emory also has a world class School of Medicine and the well-ranked Goizueta School of Business. There is an active Greek life (Frats & Sororities) but the student population also has strong sense of community service, with roughly 25% of students participating in the volunteering programme.
