Big city university

Rice University is generally considered the most selective institute of higher education in the state of Texas. With a limited student count of roughly 6,600, the school provides a very different experience compared to it’s big University of Texas neighbours. It is, perhaps, thanks to this that Rice has built such a strong reputation for itself. The Princeton Review ranked Rice 1st both in the category “Best Quality of Life” and “Happiest Students” in its 2012 edition. Additionally, the school was ranked 20th among LGBT friendliest colleges.
